Team B's mixed problem script

This is a page from the script written by our mixed team of Division 1 kids from Belarus, St. Petersburg and Germany.  The script was in four languages: Belarusian, Russian, German and English.  The children had to write a story about a new invention that fulfills a basic need.  They decided to write a play about a polluted country where everyone speaks a different language, a money-hungry mayor and a professor who decides to build a machine that turns rubbish into very special potatoes.  I was impressed by the children's enthusiasm, their willingness to work hard and integrate others' ideas into their plans, and most of all by their openness to other cultures.
